Masonry, working with Stone

First off, you need to be a GM Carpenter in order to read the book "Making valuables with stonecrafting" I ended up GMing a carpenter just for this part of the guide. Most of my friends that have GMed carpentry have done it with 50K wood or less and told me how they did it.

Did I listen to them? Of course not...I thought I would put some fine tuning on their good advice (lol sometimes it works out) this however was not one of those times that it worked out.

I did manage to GM the skill in 7 hectic powerhours, and a lot of off powerhour training but at a cost of about 80k boards (Could have been done not only with the 50k boards but in 5 powerhours...)

But GM it I eventually did, and now I have an outlet for all that Granite my miner had been hoarding! But first things first, you have to GM your carpenter to read the stonecrafting book.

You can get the book in two ways, 1 is to travel to the new lands (UO3d) and buy it in the new gargoyle city. The second way for those that donīt have access to the new lands is to buy it from someone who does. If you check the vendors around your shard you should be able to find one if not a few selling the books, but if that fails simply post a message that your buying at www.tradespot.net The books cost 11k when purchased from one of the npc shopkeepers in the gargoyle city, so be ready to pay 15k to 20k for them if you use a middle man.

One of the cool things about working with stone is there are 9 different colors available, so each item can have up to 9 different shades.

On top of vases and statues, you can also make chars and tables

Here is a table of all the things that are presently craftable with stone.
